Ekhurleni Fire Detectors is a company based in Johannesburg. The CEO, Mr Govender has been in the Fire Detection Industry for over 25 years. We are committed to our customers in the management of projects, from conceptualization to design, installation, commissioning and maintenance. Staying at the forefront of technology, we have at our disposal product systems and engineering support from local product suppliers by which we can provide the best possible solutions equal to that of international standards.

CODE OF ETHICS:

We supply, install & provide servicing of Fire Detection, Gas Suppression & Electronic Security Systems. We do comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, and we operate under the guidelines set out by the South African National Standards.

As individuals and companies engage in the fire detection, and gaseous extinguishing industry, we recognize our responsibility to maintain high standards of reliability and integrity in the application of the life safety and property protection systems provided by us.

We, therefore, pledge and ascribe to the following:

To be honest and fair in all matters with our employees, customers, subcontractors, distributors, competitors and suppliers.

To follow nationally recognised codes and standards, provincial and local laws and regulations, when designing supplying or installing fire detection systems and gaseous extinguishing systems.

We agreed to read, study and abide by the following Standards:

SANS 10139 – Design, Installation and Maintenance of fire detection systems.
SANS 246 – Installation of fire systems in Electronic Equipment Installations (Computer Rooms).
SANS 369 – Operation of Fire Protection Measures.
SANS 322 – Fire Detection and Alarm Systems for Hospitals.
SANS 306 – Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishing Installations
SANS 14520 – Gaseous Fire Extinguishing Systems (Clean Agents).

To encourage and support well-founded legislation affecting our industry and the people we serve.

To support and participate in the education of those in and regulating our industry.

When representing the Association, we will conduct ourselves professionally and with decorum.

Individually, we will strive for high standard of performance and professional competence.

We do Installation & Servicing of Fire Detection Gas Suppression & Electronic Security Systems. We do comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, and we operate under the guidelines set out by the South African National Standards.

We accept this code freely and pledge to support our Association in its endeavours to improve life safety and property protection in the Republic of South Africa and its surrounding nations.

Our areas of focus are in South Africa. We have executed projects in all 9 provinces. We have opened a small branch in Kwazulu Natal. We have done projects in Swaziland, Maputo, Congo, Beira and Zimbabwe.
